Ambassador of Belarus holds meeting with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Zimbabwe

On June 11, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe Yury Nikalaichyk met with the Minister of Energy and Power Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe Hon. July Moyo.

The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in developing and progressively deepening cooperation in the energy sector, including the supply of goods, exploring opportunities for industrial cooperation, human resource training, exchange of experience, and expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations.

The meeting took place ahead of the dispatch of an expert delegation from the Ministry of Energy and power companies of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus. The primary objective of the expert visit is to identify a specific nomenclature of Belarusian goods and services to meet the needs of Zimbabwe's power grid.

An agreement was reached on further coordination of interaction between the Embassy and the Ministry of Energy of Zimbabwe.
