Ambassador of Belarus to Zimbabwe meets the Tanzanian delegation

On September 7, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe, Yury Nikalaichyk, met with a delegation from the United Republic of Tanzania at the Belarusian equipment dealership center in Harare. The Tanzanian delegation was led by Dr. Benson Ndiege, Registrar of Co-operative Societies and Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania Co-operative Development Commission.
The delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture of Tanzania and sector-specific agricultural cooperatives.
The Tanzanian side was briefed on Zimbabwe's experience in implementing its agricultural mechanization program, as well as the system for maintenance services and personnel training. The current model range of supplied Belarusian machinery was also presented to the guests.

Addressing the delegation members, the Ambassador of Belarus emphasized that the visit to the Belarusian dealership in Harare constitutes an important element in implementing the agreements reached following the visit of the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Kassim Majaliwa, to the Republic of Belarus in 2025.
Yury Nikalaichyk drew attention to the fact that the implementation of the Agricultural Mechanization Facility Program is under the special attention of the leaders of Belarus and Zimbabwe, making the project a flagship initiative in the region.
It was noted that Belarusian machinery receives high praise for its reliability, cost-effectiveness, and maintainability from both the Zimbabwean leadership and local farmers, while the Belarusian side fully honors all its commitments.
The Head of the diplomatic mission expressed confidence that the outcomes of the Tanzanian delegation's visit would stimulate bilateral cooperation and strengthen traditional friendly ties between Belarus and Sub-Saharan Africa.
