Ambassador of Belarus to Zimbabwe I.Marshalau meets the Ambassador of Angola to Zimbabwe A.Tavares

On October 8, 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe, Ihar Marshalau, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the Republic of Zimbabwe, Agostinho Tavares.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres.

In order to intensify political interaction, I.Marshalau proposed resuming the arranging of mutual visits at various levels.

Ambassador of Belarus also proposed to sign a range of fundamental bilateral agreements, including the establishment of an intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, to make the visits meaningful.

The possibilities of Belarus in agriculture, industrial cooperation, countering natural and man-made disasters, education and medicine are outlined by the examples of the successful implementation of a number of joint projects in Zimbabwe.

A.Tavares expressed interest in the implementation of abovementioned projects in Angola with the participation of the Belarusian Side, offered to hold a number of meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other governmental authorities, representatives of the Angolan business community during the planned visit of Ambassador I.Marshalau in order to present Credentials to the President of Angola.
