Ambassador of Belarus to Zimbabwe Ihar Marshalau participates in the SADC Anti-Sanctions Day and the Conference of the ZANU-PF

On October 25, 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe, Ihar Marshalau, took part in events dedicated to the SADC Anti-Sanctions Day, as well as in the 21st National People's Conference of the ruling ZANU-PF Party, held in Bulawayo.

The events were attended by the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, who condemned the sanctions policy of the West. Speaking on behalf of the SADC Presidency, he signed an electronic petition calling for the lifting of sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe for more than 23 years.

At the 21st ZANU-PF National People's Conference session, E.Mnangagwa touched upon the problems of socio-economic development of the country and outlined the upcoming tasks for the implementation of the long-term development strategy “Vision 2030”.

During his stay in Bulawayo, Ambassador Ihar Marshalau visited a branch of the Bison Argo Machinery, got acquainted with the maintenance center for Belarusian agricultural machinery, discussed existing problematic issues.

Ihar Marshalau also visited the Fomona Fire and Ambulance Service in Bulawayo, where Belarusian-made Fire Fighting tenders are successfully operated. The Management of the Station gave high operational ratings to the Belarusian fire equipment.
