On Zimbabwe Independence Day celebrations

April 18, 2026 in Mafisa, Matabeleland South province, celebrations were held to mark the 46th anniversary of the declaration of independence of Zimbabwe.
The ceremony was held under the theme “Zim@46: Unity and Development Towards Vision 2030”.
The event was attended by President of Zimbabwe E.D. Mangagwa and the First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, Vice Presidents C.Chiwenga and K.Mohadi, members of the Politburo and an representatives of the ruling ZANU-PF party, heads of state bodies, law enforcement agencies, invited representatives of the diplomatic and military-diplomatic corps.
The key element was the festive address of the President of Zimbabwe, in which he summed up the country's development in 2025 and outlined Zimbabwe's sustainable development priorities through agricultural modernization, industrialization and digitalization of the economy until 2030.

 

 


The ceremony of the 46th Independence Day of Zimbabwe celebration was attended by the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe with his wife, defense attaché and economic counsellor to the Embassy.
During the event, the Ambassador-designate held conversations with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and government bodies of Zimbabwe, the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
