Ambassador of Belarus met with President of the Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe
01.07.2026On July 1, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Yury Nikalaichyk met with President of the Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe Emmah Kativu.
The Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe is operationg for over 70 years, bringing together owners and operators of hotels, restaurants, lodges, clubs, and other establishments in the tourism sector. It serves as the unified voice of the industry, actively engaging with the government, financial institutions and the Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe.
During the discussion, the sides exchanged views on ways to implement related provisions of the Roadmap for Strategic Cooperation and Partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Zimbabwe for 2026–2030 and the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in Tourism dated March 27, 2025.
Both sides emphasized their mutual interest in deepening cooperation between relevant associations and companies, boosting reciprocal tourist flows, collaborating in human resource training, building the capacity of Zimbabwe's tourism sector, and jointly participating in thematic exhibitions.
Taking into account the existing bilateral agreements, practical steps for the near future were outlined.
