Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Zimbabwe meet in Harare

In Harare, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Aleinik met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe Dr. Frederick Shava.
The Ministers discussed in detail the implementation of the agreements reached during President Lukashenka's state visit to Zimbabwe, as well as the results of the work done during the year by the specialized subgroups on political, economic, and social issues.


Significant progress in bilateral trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in industry, agriculture, healthcare, and education were emphasized.
Belarus and Zimbabwe put special emphasis on strengthening industrial interaction and participation of Belarusian exporters and manufacturers in the implementation of Zimbabwe's Vision 2030 development program.


The Parties have outlined concrete steps to expand the legal framework of the bilateral relations and exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda, global and regional security.
Both sides emphasized their mutual desire for mutual support at international platforms, strengthening interaction between regional integration associations, of which Belarus and Zimbabwe are members.
