Belarus Ambassador meets with Zimbabwe President's Special Adviser on Waste Management

On September 22, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe Yury Nikalaichyk met with the Special Advisor to the President of Zimbabwe on Waste Management and Environmental Sustainability, CEO and Executive Chairman of Geo Pomona Waste Management, Dr. Delish Nguwaya. 

During the meeting, the parties reviewed in detail the implementation of the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Partnership in Waste Management and Water Purification, signed during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Emmerson Mnangagwa, to the Republic of Belarus in 2025. 
In pursuance of the provisions of the document, the interlocutors identified priority areas for enhancing practical cooperation. The parties also held a comprehensive exchange of views on potential avenues of interaction not yet covered by the existing agreements. 
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to continue joint, result-oriented work across the entire spectrum of the environmental agenda.
