Ambassador of Belarus I.Marshalau presents his Credentials to the President of Zambia
02.04.2025On 2 April 2025 the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe and the Republic of Zambia, Ihar Marshalaum, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema.

In a brief speech, I.Marshalau outlined the need to intensify cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Zambia in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, focusing on Belarus' existing competencies in agriculture, industrial cooperation, healthcare, education, and the elimination and prevention of natural and man-made disasters.

The President of Zambia urged the newly accredited heads of diplomatic missions to take more decisive actions to develop cooperation between the countries, invited foreign specialists and businessmen to visit Zambia more often. Addressing I.Marshalau, H.Hichilema expressed interest in Belarusian participation in the mechanisation of agriculture in Zambia, as well as in the creation and reconstruction of infrastructure and the extraction of natural resources.
