Ambassador of Belarus took part in the 2026 Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce annual Congress

On June 24–26, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe H.E. Yury Nikalaichyk, at the invitation of the Zimbabwean side, visited Victoria Falls to attend the 2026 annual Congress of the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce.
The Congress was attended by the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe Hon.Nqobizitha Ndlovu, representatives of ministries, departments, local government authorities, the accredited diplomatic corps, business circles, and educational institutions.
The event was held under the theme “From resilience to competitiveness: charting a new path for sustainable industrial growth” and was dedicated both to reviewing the work of the National Chamber for the previous period and to substantive discussions on the development paths of Zimbabwe's economy, as well as bridging the gap between the country's needs and capabilities to ensure sustainable economic development.

On the margins of the event the Ambassador of Belarus held talks with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe Hon. N. Ndlovu, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Chamber C. Mugaga, the past and current presidents of the Chamber T. Karoro and J. Takundwa, the Director-General for Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Zimbabwe R. Faranisi, and representatives of the Zimbabwean business community.
The Ambassador's participation in the event was utilized to step up work on industrial cooperation projects already underway, to promote the initiative on facilitating trade regimes between the EAEU and Zimbabwe, as well as to search for new promising niches for increasing the export of goods and services.
