Ambassador of Belarus holds meeting with Minister of Higher Education of Zimbabwe

 On June 15, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe Yury Nikalaichyk met with the Minister of Higher Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe Hon. Frederick Shava.

The parties discussed the implementation of the Roadmap for Strategic Cooperation and Partnership until 2030, decisions of the Joint Permanent Commission on cooperation and sectoral agreements.

Mutual interest in expanding cooperation in the field of education was emphasized.

Yu. Nikalaichyk and F. Shava discussed the drafting for a two-year program of cooperation between the relevant ministries of the two countries and an memorandum on the development of cooperation in the field of scientific research, holding contests of joint scientific projects, and a schedule of upcoming joint events.

Special attention was paid to interaction in the field of new technologies. Presentation materials of the Hi-Tech Park on specific promising cooperation projects were handeled to F.Shava.
