Ambassador of Belarus to Zimbabwe presents copies of credentials
29.04.2026On April 29, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe Yury Nikalaichyk presented copies of credentials to the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade — Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe Hon. Frederick M. Shava.
During the conversation, the parties highly appreciated the achieved level of interaction and mutual understanding between Minsk and Harare on a wide range of political, economic, humanitarian issues, as well as the coincidence of positions on key topics of the international agenda.
The commitment to the implementation of the Roadmap for Strategic Cooperation and Partnership for 2026-2030, signed during the visit of the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe E.D. Mnangagwa to Belarus in May 2025, was confirmed.
Particular attention was paid to the economic aspects of cooperation and steps to increase mutual trade. A substantive discussion was held on the implementation of key projects under the Roadmap and the accompanying agreements of the bilateral Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation, as well as on issues of developing the legal framework in the economic sphere.
A plan of joint actions for 2026 was discussed, agreements were reached on priority bilateral events.
